Snorkeling and catamaran sailing in San Manuel Antonio Park

After a few hours of driving you will arrive at this idyllic place. The beach of San Manuel Antonio is one of the most beautiful beaches of Costa Rica. It is the only place where the jungle meets the beach, which makes it very special.

Today you can chill on the beach or have a tasteful cocktail in one of the nice bars.

Go and discover  San Manuel Antonio park in the morning. Time enough to visit it in half a day. Do it with a guide as they have a telephoto lens to spot the animals. We mainly spotted sloths, cute capuchin monkeys, a raccoon and a hummingbird on his nest.

In the afternoon you will be picked up to make a beautiful trip with the catamaran. San Manuel Antonio is one of the few places where this can be done. The catamaran has two decks on top of each other and also a very nice slide for the children. On the upper deck you can relax, sunbathe and enjoy the splendid surroundings.

The catamaran sails for about 1 hour along the beautiful coast. We saw dolphins swimming around the boat.

Then the fun for the children starts: everyone is wearing snorkels and flippers and the guide will take you to a place where you can swim among the schools of colourful fish. Very nice for the children.  What our children also liked is that they could jump from the highest deck into the water.

And don’t forget to bring your camera because when you sail back you can enjoy a beautiful sunset while the owner of the boat, Tomas, is playing on his banjo. Wolf, our eight year old son, danced and made a new friend for making music together. And you will be treated to a delicious barbecue.

Today take your time to have your breakfast, let the children swim again and leave for your next destination in Costa Rica.
