This is what you need to know about the money in Thailand:
- In Thailand you pay with the baht, roughly 40 baht is about 1 euro. The best way to get Thai money is to use an ATM. In Thailand you will find ATMs almost everywhere where you can just use your bank card to withdraw money.
- Check with the bank if your card should not be activated to make sure you can withdraw money in Thailand.
- Some (smaller) islands do not have ATMs. Furthermore, it is useful to bring some Euro’s in case the ATMs have a malfunction. Euros are accepted at almost all exchange offices. Credit cards are accepted in many places, especially Visa and Mastercard.
