The standard time difference with Belgium is 6 hours. That means that in Florida it is normally 6 hours earlier than in our country, with the exception of the periods in which Florida does have summer time and we do not.
Summer time
Like us, the United States has a summer time scheme. However, this is not completely in sync with our scheme. When in Florida Summer Time alreay applies and it is winter time with us, the time difference is only 5 hours instead of 6 hours.
This applies during the following periods:
– in spring between the second Sunday in March and the last Sunday in March
– in autumn between the last Sunday in October and the second Sunday in November
