Discover the golden triangle in your private longtail boat

After a fairly long drive of five hours through the mountains you arrive at your lodge in Chiang Rai. On the way you will visit the beautiful 3-level waterfall “took Tok Bua Tong”. Go for a walk or enjoy a dive into the water, a welcome respite during that long ride. You also stop at the white temple, a gem of new architecture and one of the top 10 to see in Thailand. This temple is a contemporary unconventional Buddhist temple in Chiang Rai, designed by Chalermchai Kositpipat, a famous Thai artist.

Your lodge is located in a very green surrounding at the riverside and close to the center of Chiang Rai.

After breakfast you leave for the golden triangle where 3 countries meet at 1 point: Laos, Myanmar and Thailand. Your private longtail boat is waiting for your family for a nice trip of 45 min on the mighty Mekong River. Watch and admire the pretty coloured boats and fishermen’s cottages on the riverbanks in the 3 countries.

Along the scenery road, you stop at a great viewpoint where you have a panoramic view of all 3 countries.

Today you will leave Chiang Rai to travel back to Chiang Mai for the building block “Cycling and to the elephant reserve in Chiang Mai“, “Drive a tuk tuk yourself and go to a Thai school” or “Live among locals“.
