Sarapuiqi is an ideal stop between San José and Boca Tapada or La Fortuna (Arenal volcano). You will stay here in a beautiful lodge in the middle of nature. There is also a swimming pool where the children can have a great time.
Go and have a look at the butterfly garden or the bird table. That way we have spotted one of the most beautiful birds: the Oro Pendula with its yellow tail and a family Toekans who just came along for lunch.
Today you’re going to sail down the river Sarapiquí, a wonderful way to combine adventure with nature.
This tour starts in the La Virgen de Sarapiquí, one of the most important places in the area. This raft takes us through a beautiful part of the river filled with exciting white-water rapids, all surrounded by a magnificent natural beauty. This is a fantastic trip for people who go rafting for the first time, but also like excitement and huge rapids. It is also a great fun for people who already rafted before.
In order to be able to make this trip, the minimum age for children is 9 years and seniors should be in good physical shape. We recommend seniors older than 60 not to take part in this tour. The full tour lasts approximately 2h30 to 3 hours, and covers a distance of 16 kilometers (10 miles). This tour includes a stop halfway to enjoy a delicious fruit snack.
Today take your time to have breakfast, let the children swim and leave for your next destination in Costa Rica. You can choose a “Jungle adventure in Boca Tapada” or visit the “Hot springs at the Arenal volcano”.
